The New Covenant: Things To Know

Wassup Y’all! Hoping everyone is safe and sound out there!

I’m writing about this topic, well, because it’s important, and secondly it’s not something that people actually talk about enough. firstly, I do not take credit for this information and it really is by the grace of God 🙏🏾 that I can write to you all about it. About the matter: The New Covenant, do you know what the New Covenant is? if not that’s ok. Secondly, what about the New Covenant do us believers have to absolutely without a doubt undoubtedly know about it ?! 🤣 these are important question I hope that through reading this blog we all can answer.

The definition of the word “Covenant” simply means An Agreement. Thinking about it biblically we can understand that there is some sort of agreement or promise between God and us. In biblical terms, there was the Old Covenant (old agreement) and now there is the New Covenant (New Agreement) Another way to explain it: (Old Testament & New Testament) makes sense? If not, please comment below. If it doesn’t make a lot of sense, keep reading I got you 😊 Another thing about a Covenant and/or Agreement is that there are two parties. In this case, there is an agreement from God to us. If we do something, God will do something, which is usually to bless us. AMEN? But then, what if we break that agreement ?! Can God bless us? Looking at the mannnnnnnnnyyyyy examples in the Bible, we can say NO! If we don’t hold our end of the agreement, God can’t bless us. As we know, obedience leads to God's blessings! Amen?! 😊🙏🏾

Ok, enough of analogies and the dictionary, what does the Bible say is the agreement between God and his people? The New Covenant. The Bible does this really cool thing, where it interprets itself. For example, God says “I will make a new covenant with you,” then God goes on to say what the new covenant is? Amazing and simple right? Yet, not many people know what the Covenant is. And not many people actually do their part of the agreement. But hopefully, by the grace of God we will 😁 Ok, so about the Bible explaining itself I wanna share this verse with you:

Isaiah 34:16

"Look in the scroll (Bible) of the LORD and read: None of these will be missing, not one will lack her mate. For it is his mouth that has given the order, and his Spirit will gather them together."

Simply put, the Bible interprets itself and even more, His spirit will gather them. So, what about the new covenant? The Bible prophesied that God himself will make a new one (a new agreement) with his people.

Jeremiah 31:31,33

“The days are coming," declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. V.33 This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time, declares the LORD. I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people."

God said that He, Himself will make a new covenant with his people. Then amazingly, in the New Testament, Jesus came and proclaimed the “New Covenant” and taught the new commands to his people and for ALL people. "Writing it on their hearts"

Matthew 26:26-28

"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them saying, "Drink from it, ALL of you. This is my blood of the (New Covenant), which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”

Amazing right? So, with allowing the Bible to interpret itself we can confidently say the core truth of the New Covenant, is the New Covenant Passover. This is the scene of the Passover in which Jesus declared the bread to be his body, and the wine to be his blood of the (New Agreement) The ceremony celebrated with bread and wine. Amen?! 😊 With this being the case, the apostles, disciples (who were taught by Jesus himself) continued to keep the New Covenant Passover with bread and wine according to the agreement with God. 1 Corinthians 5:7-8

"Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch--as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the "Festival," not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened of sincerity and truth."

Do you know, today, that there are millions of Gods people, keeping The New Covenant, and ALL of Gods teachings (as best as they could, making beautiful efforts) 🕊 in accordance with the agreement/Covenant God said he would make with his people. In Zion. (If you are humble enough to accept) This prophesied Church the Bible said they would be keeping it at. Amazing right? Amen! So, what are you waiting for? You wanna receive God's blessings, don’t you? There are amazing promises contained within the agreement God has made with his people, even SALVATION (1 John 2:25) Let’s Bible study. And for the sake of time and keeping it simple, I’ve made this blog as short as I could 😒 But, there is so much to say. Please ask questions, message me, and let’s talk.

Lastly, some things to note about the New Covenant Passover, It has an appointed time (Lev 23:4-5 & Matt 26:17-19) It is not communion, nor celebrated on days like the first Sunday, or at a mass (Man's teaching) It is not something we can do whenever, but according to the teachings of Christ, who is God over all. (The good seed sown). AND, this truth was changed by Rome and the Roman Catholic Church, which is also prophesied in the Bible to happen. 📖 That is why it may seem new to do these days, however God himself came taught us, set the example, and the early church followed. Let us too do the same! Amen?

So, the thing about the New Covenant, that we have to absolutely without a doubt undoubtedly know, is that the core truth of the New Covenant, is the Passover of the New Covenant. 🕊🙏🏾
